What about the Obama Family…Michelle, Milia, and Sasha…” ~ Wilfong

She just doesn’t get it.  She says things that are abominable on their face, yet she seems not to understand the import of them.  She seems not to perceive the terrible damage they reap.  While her husbands’ barbs and babbles are well-designed and dreadfully intentional, hers seem to often be idle utterances.  However, they can be just as deadly in their effect.

But, this latest flap may be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.  It is so tasteless and pointless that it makes one wonder.  Is this person delusional?  Or, is she just plain stupid?  Stupid, she’s not.  Delusional she must be, then.  We went to the dictionary for some help in making our analysis: “It is a stable disorder characterized by the presence of delusions to which the patient clings with extraordinary tenacity.”

Here’s what Hillary Rodham Clinton said in her latest “episode”:

“My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. I don’t understand it,” she said, dismissing calls to drop out.”

She later said:

“I regret that if my referencing that moment of trauma for our entire nation, particularly for the Kennedy family was in any way offensive. I certainly had no intention of that whatsoever. My view is that we have to look to the past and to our leaders who have inspired us and give us a lot to live up to and I’m honored to hold Sen. Kennedy’s seat in the United States Senate in the state of New York, and have the highest regard for the entire Kennedy family.”

(What about the Obama Family…Michelle, Milia, and Sasha..)

Now, let’s take what the lady said and put them in the context of personal experiences, we’ve had.  The Bobby Kennedy assassination hit home-with deadly impact- on some of us.  How well, we personally remember how we were living in California at that time.  We were a Republican, who crossed over to support Bobby Kennedy.  We were supposed to be at the Ambassador Hotel, for the celebration.  However, we got detained by business and made arrangements to hook-up at the after-party.

There was no after-party.

See, that was the night Bobby Kennedy that kitchen-area of The Ambassador Hotel.

Why would Hillary bring that up now?  To reference “the length of Presidential campaigns”?  Not hardly.  The mere mention of that night, that occurrence, shouts “political assassinations”.  The mentioning of that event sends signals to people who find it unbelievable that a “young whippersnapper” like Bobby Kennedy could dream of taking the Presidency of the United States of America.  Senator, we know you mention in your “apology” (in which you never mention the word) you mention the honor of holding “Sen. Kennedy’s seat in the United States Senate in the state of New York”.  Can we take this moment Senator to remind you that, though you may hold his seat, you are certainly no Bobby Kennedy.

Barack Obama, however, reminds a lot of us of Bobby Kennedy.  Again, in 2008, as in 1968, we have crossed over to support a young visionary.  One who sees something that has never been, and asks “Why not?”  One who inspires young people in droves to rally around him.  One who speaks to 75,000 people and makes them feel like he’s talking to each of them individually.

Sen. Clinton, you have just drawn a big bullseye on Bartack Obama, by your tasteless and thoughtless act of “reference”, to a campaign that has been over a long time ago.  Bobby Kennedy was on the way to The White House with his California, winner-take-all victory.  Where are you on your way to, Madam?

To the sidelines we fervently hope.

The struggle continues, until we succeed-and we shall-YES WE CAN!!!!!
